I also made a YouTube video of the production of this manip.
It can be found here: [link]
There is also a story behind this manip.
There was once a woman called Desdemona. She was deeply in love with her husband Jacob.
What both Jacob and Desdemona didn't know however, is that the mayor of their village, Kanto, wanted nothing more than to have Desdemona as his wife.
He tried everything to burden their marriage. He got Jacob fired from every place of work he went through, he got their house burnt down, he even stopped Jacobs daily rations of bread and milk for the poor.
But even still, neither Desdemona nor Jacob knew about his bitter love.
One day as Jacob was walking through the market to get to his sisters house, a homeless aged woman grabbed his attention. She said she was able to give him everything he ever wanted.
Desperate and homeless himself, he asked the woman for a home and plenty of food. The woman cast a speall talking in an incomprehensible language.
Soon after the Mayor found the same old lady, stopping out of curiosity she asked him what he wanted.
"I want Desdemona and Jacob to fall apart! She must be with me!". Again, she completed her spell and he was on his way.
Finally desdemona passed the woman. Asking what she wanted, Desdemona replied.
"Some peace and quite from this villages torment!"
The next morning, Jacob found that he had woken up on the top of the highest cliff. He also noticed that he had transformed into a crow.
He was terrified. The wicked old woman had given him what he wanted, food and a home, but had trapped him in a crows body.
The mayor found himself as a dirty mouse living in a mouse nest a few feet away from Desdemona.
And Desdemona found herself far away from the village, living in an old hut by the ocean, in view of the village but comfortably able to live outside of it.
With a crown found on her head, she became the ruler of the outside lands.
She tried for many years to find her husband, but to no avail. All she had was a lonesome crow for a friend. She hated her loneliness and many times tries to end it all, but never won her battle.
It wasn't untill one day the crow started clawing words into the dirt that she figured out it was her husband. The mouse soon after started writing in the dirt after he saw this, saying HE was her husband.
But Desdemona knew. It had to be the mayor because he went missing too. Then it all fell into place.
One day in a angry rage, Jacob brought Desdemona the dead body of the mayor. It was in his nature to kill mice anyway.
As soon as he had, he transformed back into his human self, and they both found they had a much food and water as they needed and a home back at the village.
One day they saw that old woman again, and she said to them.
"You see, you would have never known your trouble, nor how to fix them if I hadn't transformed you to see the truth. I stayed true and gave you all your wishes, but the true goo must always prevail, and that was the only way I could allow it to."
very moving! A wonderful manipulation with such depth, it's nice to see this kind of a manipulation with meaning rather than the typical ''I'm enveloped in the blackness of my life crap''! Wonderful, brilliant! There are no more words
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
